Invasive species are neophytes that currently spread (considerably) and may cause - at least potentially - undesired effects on the environment or humans. e. g. Ragweed – Ambrosia artemisiifolia is native to North America and considered invasive in many parts of Europe due to its recent spread and its highly allergenic pollen.
