outer-involucre
The outer-involucre refers to the outer
bracts of the
involucre of the Asteraceae – Daisy
family. The term is mainly used, if the outer and inner
bracts differ in
habit or are distinctly apart of each other (e. g. in
Senecio jacobaea – Common Ragwort).
