Leaf veins (nerves) are the vascular bundles of leaves. Leaf veins are often well visible, because they are enhanced by sclerenchyma. Depending on branching pattern (venation), dichotomous venation, parallel venation and pinnate (or reticulate) venation may be distinguished.
